Charles City County’s Circuit Court has been awarded a grant for the preservation of local records.
The grant, in the amount of $17,107.50, will be used to digitize Land Book 1867, 1869-1874, Land Book 1921-24, Reassessment of Lands 1900, 1905, 1910, 1915, 1920, and 1925.
“We’re very excited,” commented Victoria Cox-Washington, Circuit Court Clerk of Charles City County. “These records are the history of our county! We have an obligation to make sure that they are available for future generations.”
