National Historic Garden Tour slated to come to New Kent in 2025

The National Historic Garden Tour has set its eyes on New Kent County for 2025.

Elizabeth Meyers and Karen Tomlin of the Three Rivers Garden Club of Virginia made the announcement during New Kent’s Board of Supervisors Aug. 14 regular meeting.

The Three Rivers Garden Club provides tours of houses and gardens in 45 different states and 12 different countries. According to the representatives, the event garnered 23,000 visitors in 2023, the most successful in the tour’s 90-year history.

While no specific dates have been set, the representatives said that the club generates $12.5 million dollars to the Virginia economy. The group plans to provide additional information prior to the event taking place.
