Chickahominy Health District distributing health assessment survey for Charles City

The Chickahominy Health District, that services both New Kent and Charles City County, is launching a survey for a second health assessment for Charles City County.

In partnership with community-based organizations, a steering committee formed of reginal organizations including Charles City County Public Schools, Heritage Library, Central Virginia Health Services, Parks and Recreation, Chickahominy Indian Tribe, Department of Social Services, local food banks, Henrico Area Mental Health, Thrive VA, and many more to create a survey to encourage healthy habits.

“The survey is a great way for us to hear directly from community members about what health needs or concerns they see each day for themselves and the people they care about,” said Emily Hines, Population Health Planning and Improvement Coordinator for the Chickahominy Health District.

Community members who live and/or work in Charles City County are encouraged to participate in the survey. The survey can be accessed at https://redcap.link/CharlesCityCHA2023 or paper copies are available at both the Charles City Health Department and Charles City County Social Services office.

The survey will be available through Sept. 17, with all responses will be anonymous.
