Mock trial in Charles City County

Charles City Senior Jonlei Coles (left) acts as prosecutor and Charles City Senior Andie Spillman steps up as the defense attorney during an April 30 mock trial at Charles City Courthouse. The case, which was overseen by Charles City Juvenile and Domestics Relation Judge Mara Matthews, is part of the ongoing studies learned in Charles City High School’s government class, with Charles City Commonwealth’s Attorney Tyler Klink frequenting the class to provide lessons on the law and courtroom procedures.
