Stamm to assume principalship role at New Kent Elementary School on July 1

Dr. Amy Stamm will assume the position of principal at New Kent Elementary School starting July 1, 2021.

Stamm joins New Kent County Public Schools with more than 20 years of educational experience. She has held positions as an instructor, principal, assistant principal, school counselor, and division director of testing.

She is a graduate of Christopher Newport University where she earned her Bachelor’s degree. She continued her education at the University of West Alabama, earning a Master’s in School Counseling. Stamm followed that up by earning a Post-Masters in K-12 supervision and administration from Virginia Commonwealth University and earned a doctorate in Educational Leadership from the College of William and Mary.

Stamm will take over the duties of New Kent Elementary School principal as current principal John Moncrief has announced his retirement at the end of the school year.
