Cheryl Moon Kelly

Cheryl Moon Kelly, of New Kent, Virginia, passed away on Dec. 9, 2023, after a valiant 19-year battle with Multiple Sclerosis.

Cheryl was born in Syracuse, New York, on May 21, 1964, to Daniel F. Moon and the late Carol Ann Moon. Cheryl held a business degree from Christopher Newport University. She was a devoted wife, daughter, sister, stepmother, aunt, and friend.

Cheryl’s lifelong passion was Shetland Sheepdogs. She spent many years training, breeding, and showing her prized Shelties. Cheryl constantly strived for the betterment of the breed. Her love and care for all her family and friends will be greatly missed.

Cheryl is survived by her loving husband, Raymond G. Kelly; father, Daniel Moon; stepchildren, Stephanie, Meredith, and Joseph; brother, Mark Moon; aunt, Elsie Hockridge; along with many nieces, nephews, and loving friends.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023, at Liberty Baptist Church. Interment will be private.
