Eddie Parsley

Eddie “Mason” Parsley, 86, of New Kent, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Aug. 4, 2022.

Mason worked as a brick-laborer for most of his life. He loved being outdoors, his tobacco, gospel and country music, and his F150 truck. Most of all, he loved his family. Mason was a gentle and kind spirt and would always lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He will be missed by all who loved him.

Mason was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mable; siblings, Wallace (Hobo), Alton (Shine), Paul, Jane, and Norman; and son-in-law, Scott.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Beverly; son, Eddie Jr.; daughters, Mary Ellen (Bo), Pam, and Bonnie (Kirk); grandchildren, Nicki (Briant), Bernie, Jacob (Lisa), Chuck, Ashley (Chad), and Tabatha; great-granddaughter, Peyton; siblings, Verna Lee, Beatrice, Shirley, and Jimmy (Sheila); sisters-in-law, Sharon (Bubbie), Jean, Carrie, and Polly; brother-in-law, Buddy; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The family would like to send a big thanks to the Kindred Hospice for their kindness and wonderful help through this journey.

A visitation was held on Monday, Aug. 8, 2022, 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at B.W. White Funeral Home in Aylett, Virginia. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2022, 11 a.m., at Gethsemane Church of Christ, 5146 Mechanicsville Turnpike, Mechanicsville, VA.
