Howard I. Adams

Howard I. Adams, 80, of Providence Forge, Va., passed away Oct. 10, 2015. He was a retired salesman from Old Dominion Tractor.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley Adams Sr. and Ruth Howard Adams; and two brothers, Edward and John Adams.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Clara Midkiff Adams; a daughter, Tracie Adams Wiant (Stu); two sons, Howard Adams Jr. (Marcie) and William R. Adams (Kathy); two sisters, Ethel Taylor and Estelle Butler (Lloyd); and five grandchildren, Meagan, Jennifer, Kelly, Ricky, and Carly.

A funeral service was held on Monday, Oct. 12, 11 a.m. at Vincent Funeral Home, 9923 Pocahontas Trail, Providence Forge. Interment was held in Chapel Cemetery, Charles City.

The family received friends 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 11 at the funeral home.
