Kenny Driscoll
Kenny Driscoll, 78, of Lanexa, Virginia, passed away on Friday, Jan. 26, 2024, at home.
Kenny was born in Alexandria, Virginia, to Jack and Essie Driscoll, and spent most of his years between Buena Vista and Williamsburg. Kenny retired as a machinist supervisor for Phillip Morris. His after-retirement ownership of Stewart’s Grocery in Lanexa brought him great joy and earned him many valued friendships in the county.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Augustine Lilton “Jack” Driscoll and Mary Catherine Driscoll; biological other, Essie Jaunita Cash Lawhorne; and his great-grandson, Coleman Tucker Young.
He is survived by his sons, Frank Driscoll and wife Kim, Kenny Driscoll and wife Amy, and Todd Driscoll; daughter, Tammy McCormick and husband Rory; grandchildren, Danielle Young, Briana Rappold, Courtney Thompson, Abigail McGuire, Nicholas Driscoll, Bodie Driscoll, and Patrick Driscoll; great-grandchildren, Hunter Morris, Walker Young, Wyatt Thompson, Franklin McGuire, and Palmer Young; bonus great-grandchildren Micah Newman and Makenzie Newman; and brother, Wayne Driscoll.
A service and reception will be held on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024, 12 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg, Virginia, 23188.
Kenny’s wish was for his body to be donated to the Virginia State Anatomical Program, whose primary mission is to educate health professionals by providing human donors for the teaching of anatomy and surgery and medial research to the state’s medical schools, colleges, universities, and research facilities.
