Another decade has come and gone, just like 2019. I want to thank New Kent EMS and dispatcher Meghan Johnson for their actions on Nov. 6. Chuck Marsh sustained a life-threatening injury from a tractor. He dialed New Kent Fire and EMS and the response was extraordinary. Units from Fire Station #2, Fire Station #5, a fire engine, and other emergency personnel were there within minutes. Life EVAC #3 were conducting training exercises half-a-mile from the scene and were able to transport Chuck from New Kent Airport to a local medical facility. After surgery and three weeks in the trauma unit, he had one week of rehab and continues…

I had the privilege of being the host for the first annual Charles City High School’s Athletics and Activities Hall of Fame Saturday afternoon.
