Noah Babin, a recent graduate of New Kent High School, has been awarded a four-year scholarship from the Fary Memorial Scholarship Fund. The scholarship, in the amount of $25,000, will assist Noah with his studies at Randolph-Macon College. The scholarship is available to students residing in 16 counties in Eastern Virginia. Dr. Michael S. Ito has joined the staff of Cumberland Hospital for Children and Adolescents as Director of Clinical Services in New Kent. With more than 30 years of experience as a clinical psychologist, Ito has served in capacities that include Director of Behavioral Health for Maryland’s Department of Juvenile Services, worked at the Beaumont Juvenile Correctional Center, Eastern State Hospital in Williamsburg, and also owned a private practice.

Kena Quivers, a 2016 graduate of Charles City High School, was named to Norfolk State University’s Dean’s List for the Fall 2018 semester. In order to be named for the accolade, the student must be enrolled full-time and maintain a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher.
