Casey O’Leary, a resident of New Kent, graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma as part of Spring 2019 commencement ceremonies. O’Leary obtained a Master’s Degree in Athletic Training.
There are times when you may be surrounded with people that do not associate well with others. Even family members are prone to tell you, “Don’t talk to so and so,” or “I wouldn’t catch myself near such and such.” With election season coming around, I thought I’d take something that will affect us during election year and apply it to a general concept. Lindsay Maguire, a resident of Quinton, graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University’s Carilion School of Medicine on May 11 with a Doctor of Medicine Degree. Maguire received six Letters of Distinction in the areas of surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, most outstanding research project, clinical science integration, family medicine, and emergency medicine. She was also inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Maguire will practice at Orlando Health in Orlando Florida.
Joseph Miles, a Charles City High School Class of 2015 graduate, was among 400 graduates from Bridgewater College on May 4. Miles competed his studies at the school, earning his bachelor’s degree in psychology.
The balance of morality has also been an issue that has plagued society. As I sat back the other day and listened to the news, it made me think about the amount of money being spent by taxpayers to address issues. Not issues that are a joint collaboration, but issues where money could be applied to other areas. I’ll provide you the example that brought this editorial about.
