Bottom of the Bridge LaSertoma offering two $1,500 scholarships

Bottom of the Bridge LaSertoma Club is offering two scholarship grants to graduating students of New Kent High School. A $1,500 scholarship will be awarded to a New Kent High School Senior pursuing a college education at either a community college or four-year institution. Another $1,500 will be awarded to a New Kent High School senior enrolled in a technical, nursing, or culinary arts field through Bridging Communities Career and Technical Center. Bredehoft named to Radford University’s Dean’s List

Max Bredehoft, a resident of Quinton, has been named to the Dean’s List at Radford University for the Fall 2022 semester. In order to be recognized for the achievement, a student must be taking at least 12 credit hours and earn a grade-point average of 3.4 or higher.

Three residents recognized for academic excellence at College of William & Mary

Three New Kent County residents were named to the Dean’s List at the College of William & Mary for the Fall 2022 semester. Joey Houska and Todd Reynolds, both of Lanexa, and Aug Gilbride, of Providence Forge, were recognized for the academic honor. Students are named to the list by taking at least 12 credit hours and earning a quality point average of 3.6 or higher.

Narron named to Honors List at Mary Baldwin University

Delaney Narron, the Class of 2021 Salutatorian of Charles City County High School, earned Honors List recognition from Mary Baldwin University for the Fall 2022 semester. To be highlighted for the honor, a student must be enrolled full-time and earn a grade-point average of 3.75 or above.

Cole Daniels, a 2022 graduate of New Kent High School, was named to the Dean’s List at Radford University for the Fall 2022 semester. In order to earn the academic honor, a student must be taking at least 12 semester hours and accumulate a grade-point average of 3.4 or higher.

Two local students earned academic recognition from Hollins University for the Fall 2022 semester. Erin Warford of Providence Forge and Emily Bauer of Charles City were named to the Dean’s List for the Fall 2022 semester.
