Manassas woman receives year in jail for lying under oath in New Kent
A Manassas woman will spend a year in jail for lying under oath in relation to a drug charge. Lilyana Elyzabeth Ardon, 20, of the 8300 block of Yorkshire Lane, entered guilty pleas to one count each of perjury and selling a Schedule I/II drug as part of a plea agreement reached Monday in New Kent Circuit Court. Two Quinton residents arrested on alleged prostitution, trafficking charges
New Kent County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two individuals following an investigation into allegations of juvenile exploitation involving prostitutions and human trafficking. Victoria Anne Creps, 27, and Jaiden Denae Creps, 24, both of the 5200 block of Hemlock Road, Quinton, were each served warrants and arrested according to the New Kent Sheriff’s Office press release. According to the release, the two suspects were arrested following an investigation in partnership with New Kent Department of Social Services. Water supply issues may become impactful in New Kent County
New Kent County’s expanding growth has raised concerns about drinking and storage water within the locality’s borders. New Kent Public Utilities Director Mike Lang spoke on the issue at Monday night’s New Kent Board of Supervisors’ meeting. Lang began his conversation with county leaders referencing water shortages that have occurred in nearby Richmond, Henrico, and Hanover County. A Quinton man will spend a year in jail for stalking a person and violating a protective order. New Kent School Board members expressed dismay about a recent decision from county supervisors about not funding the construction of a new elementary school. School board members spoke on the issue during the Aug. 5 regular school board meeting. A New Kent man was found not guilty of an abduction charge lodged against him following a July 24 trial. A jury found that Thomas Bennett Luck, 49, of the 2700 block of Patriots Landing, was innocent of felony charge. However, he was found guilty on a single count of misdemeanor violation of a protective order.
