Albert Garnett Copland, 62, of Charles City, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Aug. 31, 2023. Garnett was an avid outdoor sportsman and never met a stranger. He was loved by all who knew him. He always lit up any room with his smile and fun-loving personality. Albert was preceded in death by his father, George F. Michael “Mike” A. Martinez, 70, passed away peacefully amongst family on Monday, Aug. 28, 2023, after a long illness. Mike was born in Cuba and came to America with his mother, father, and brother at the age of six. The family set roots in the neighborhood of Oregon Hill in Richmond, Virginia. Danny Robinson, 64, of Providence Forge, Virginia, passed away on June 6, 2023 at his home after a brief illness. Danny was a proud resident of Providence Forge for over 20 years where he shared a home with his wife and beloved dogs. He joined C&O Railroad when he was 17 years old and retired from CSX Railroad as a heavy equipment operator after 42 years of service. Ann Adams Evelyn, 91, of Quinton, Virginia, passed away on July 18, 2023. Ann retired from the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services. She was a long-standing member of Good Hope Baptist Church for which she was the organist for many years. Her love of music also included providing piano lessons to those interested in the community and filling in as a temporary organist at several local churches.
