Mona Altman Ray, 63, of Providence Forge, Virginia, went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 20, 2023. Mona was born on Oct. 20, 1959, to proud parents David and Charlene Altman. She was a much-beloved mother, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt, and friend. Mona was a graduate from the University of Georgia as a proud Bulldog! While at the university, she received her Master’s in teaching and went to teach at Atlee High School for many years as an agriculture and horticulture teacher and was a proud supporter and leader of the FFA until she retired. Harold Michael “Mike” Huey, 66, of New Kent, Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 16, 2023. Mike proudly served his country in the United States Army for 10 years. He was a service writer for Jerry’s Auto in Lanexa, Virginia, and had worked for AAA and Patriot Buick as a master mechanic. Paulette Tharrington Perkinson, of Lanexa, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday on April 9, 2023. Paulette retired from Colonial Williamsburg where she worked as a seamstress from 1986-1999 and started her second career, working from Verizon from 2000-2017 as a facility administrator before retiring. Paulette loved her family and friends. She was noted for her famous Pumpkin Roll, potato salad, and cookies she made every holiday. Barbara Ann Tate, 83, of Quinton, Virginia, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, Apr. 29, 2023, surrounded by her family. Barbara loved growing flowers and vegetables. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She retired from New Kent County working in the cafeteria and driving school buses. Thomas was born on Apr. 1, 1950 in New Orleans, Louisiana, as the beloved son of the late Albert Lambert Sr. and Alberta Dufrere Lambert.
