Two New Kent High athletes participate in state golf championships

Two New Kent High School athletes participated in the Class 3A State Golf Championships held on Oct. 13 at Heritage Oaks Golf Course. Bryce Hochman shot a 12-over par (82) to finish in a tie for 24th in the competition. Teammate Rylan Opett finished in a tie for 27th with a 13-over par (83). Kennedy MacCleery of Western Albermarle won the individual competition with a score of -4 (66). Western Albermarle also won the team championship by shooting a combine 12-over par (292).
