Charles City’s Panthers have faced setbacks for most of the season. From precautionary quarantines to winter weather postponements, Charles City’s team full of underclassmen had yet to find time to gel. New Kent’s Lady Trojans got a good look at one of the top teams in the Bay Rivers District on Dec. 16 when the visiting Grafton Lady Clippers entered with an undefeated record. New Kent High School’s wrestling program accumulated wins Tuesday afternoon over Bay Rivers District foes York and Lafayette in the home tri-meet. New Kent outscored York 62-18 and Lafayette 53-12 to breeze to the win. “It was a great team effort,” said first-year Head Coach John Goodbody. “We have a lot of younger guys in the lineup which was kind of fun.
