Lucy Adamson, a junior at New Kent High School, was recognized at the 49th Annual Brotherhood-Sisterhood Youth Award ceremony on Feb. 11 in Richmond. The annual award is sponsored by the Interfaith Council of Greater Richmond and is awarded to one high school junior or senior from each of the 50-plus Richmond area schools. Lucy was recognized by the organization for her ability as a leader, a peacekeeper and her calming influence as a peacekeeper. Gardy, LS, of Gardy and Associates P.C., is the first place winner in both the ALTA/ACSM Surveys Maps and the Miscellaneous Maps (Boundary Line Adjustment Plat) categories of the Plat Contest held during the annual Virginia Association of Surveyors General Membership Meeting and Convention.
