New Kent’s track teams dominated Wednesday’s Colonial Conference 25 track championships, capturing titles in both the boys’ and girls’ portion of the meet held at New Kent. The Trojans amassed 179.5 points to easily outdistance runner-up Poquoson’s 125.5. The Lady Trojans, meanwhile, finished with 129, well ahead of second place Warhill’s 107.5. Both Charles City boys’ and girls’ track teams accumulated seventh place finishes at the Conference 42 Championships held on May 18 at Charles City High School. Charles City girls scored 17 points at the meet to earn their finishing position. Cumberland took home top honors with 158 points, followed by runner-up Middlesex (118), Mathews (96), King & Queen (42), Central Lunenburg (30), and West Point (20).
