Heritage Public Library will be hosting a writing workshop on Tuesday, May 19, 6:30 p.m. at Cary Hill Plantation, 11401 Eagles Nest Road, in Charles City. United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is reminding farmers that the 2014 Farm Bill requires producers to file a Highly Erodible Land Conservation and Wetland Convervation Certification form (AD-1026) by June 1 to maintain eligibility for crop insurance premium supoort. “USDA empoloyees are working very hart to get the word out about this new Farm Bill provision,” said Tom Vilsack, Agriculture Secretary. “While many producers will not need to take action, we want to help make sure those who are required to act do so by the June 1 deadline.” Producers should visit their local USDA service center and talk…
